What is The OPs portal?
The Ops Portal (TOP) is a digital knowledge centre, ideal for businesses with multiple sites or departments, or businesses with a majority of team members working from home or remotely.
It can be used for sharing standard operating procedures, KPIs, important documents, forms, videos, internal news, and more, in an easily accessible format for every team member in your business.
TOP is designed to reflect your branding and style, and is shaped around your business. It presents necessary and helpful information in an easy to digest format, so everyone in your team has access to the assets and info that they need. As a Manager or Franchisor, you also get valuable insights into how your team are viewing and actioning items.
If you don’t yet have a complete operations manual for your business, this is also a service TOP can help with. Writing and creating the ops manual doesn’t have to be excruciating or stressful, it’s something we can work with you on as part of the setup process.

Why was top created?
Award-winning Franchisor, Louise Harris QFP, developed The Ops Portal idea. She wishes she’d had a tool like this when starting her franchise.
Louise shares; “It would have made updating the operations manual much easier, impressed my franchisees, kept my franchisees compliant with the manual, and the manual compliant with the franchise agreement. If I had access to TOP, it would also have given me a better understanding of what my franchisees needed from the ops manual, tracking their use, and enabling a far easier process for data sharing and updates.”
As a highly experienced Franchise professional, Louise offers personalised support for creating an optimal operations manual. If you don’t have one yet, Louise runs workshops to help your team create a plan for manual building. If you do already have one, Louise can review, write, edit, advise and check existing manuals. All the info can be easily uploaded to the TOP systems, making it easy to update, maintain, and gain insights going forwards.
How was top developed?
In 2022, Louise teamed up with a trusted UK software developer, Kris Allen, after working alongside him on previous projects. His expertise lies in building highly tailored software systems for growing businesses. He’s also highly skilled at understanding the needs of a business, and translating technical jargon to plain English and back again, to create innovative tech solutions.
While the initial version of the software was built from their combined vision, it has evolved and grown through the usage and insight of their franchisor and multi-site business clients. TOP is continuously being developed and improved, as client feedback is taken onboard and the needs of businesses continue to evolve and change.

The TOP team are committed to making TOP the industry-leading software for digital operations manuals for franchises, multi-site businesses and those with remote workers.
Early adopters have shaped TOP into its current form, and enhancements will continue to be made based on user experience, ongoing feedback, and evolving technology.

who owns the content in top?
You retain ownership of all content loaded into the system (information pages, documents, graphics, diagrams, branding or any other content linked to your business), including anything Louise or her team has written on your behalf.
A downloadable copy of all data loaded into the system can be retrieved at any time.
The Ops Portal Ltd retains ownership of the platform and its source code, of course.
